How to play
Listen to the letter name by clicking the listen button. Then click the letter you think is correct. If you guess wrong, you will hear what the incorrect letter's name sounds like, so you can learn the difference.
Each level consists of up to 10 questions. You can play with uppercase letters, lowercase letters, or a mix of both!
For teachers and educators
The game trains grapheme-name association – the ability to connect a letter's appearance with its name. This is an important part of early literacy development and complements training of letter sounds.
Focus areas:
Recognition of letters in uppercase form (A, B, C...) and lowercase (a, b, c...).
Automatization of letter names, which facilitates communication about written language.
Distinguishing between uppercase and lowercase letters with the same name.
The game is an excellent fit for kindergarten and first grade, or as extra support for students who need to consolidate their knowledge of the alphabet.
Calculation of knowledge points
Each completed game level in Letter names gives 1 knowledge points. You can collect a maximum of 12 knowledge points by completing all 12 levels.
In the game Letter names, you can earn a total of 36 medals. Medals are awarded based on how many times you have completed a level:
Bronze medal: after completing 2 rounds.
Silver medal: after completing 5 rounds.
Gold medal: after completing 10 rounds.
Knowledge points are only awarded for levels you have not completed before, meaning those that do not yet have checked green circles. Even after completing a level and earning both knowledge points and medals, you can continue practicing it. However, this will not grant any additional knowledge points or medals.
