When a student answers a question incorrectly, they can open an explanation of the task in the results after the round. The explanation may be written by the game’s creator, but it may also be AI-generated, with or without edits by the creator. AI-generated explanations are always labelled, so students can see where they come from.
For many students, explanations are a great help in understanding what went wrong. Sometimes, though, you may want a student to work it out on their own, for example before a test or when practising something specific. You might also prefer that your students don’t use AI-generated content. That’s why you can now turn off explanations for one or more of your students.
For a single student
- Go to Students and select the group.
- Click the student’s name.
- Choose Hide under Explanations.
- Click Save.
For several students at once
As a Plus member, you can change the setting for several students at the same time:
- Select the students in the group and click Multi-edit.
- Tick Edit next to Explanations and choose Show or Hide.
- Click Save.
Explanations are turned on for all students by default, so nothing changes until you choose to change it. You can turn them back on at any time in the same way.
