The preterite tense in Spanish is used to describe actions that were completed in the past, often at a specific point in time. It is used for events that happened and are now finished, and it is important for telling stories or describing past events in chronological order. The preterite tense is also used for actions that interrupt other ongoing activities.

1. Match the word (Link up)

Link upLink up - The level consists of 8 questions and all of them are practiced in every game round. The player's task is to link the 8 questions in the colored boxes with the most appropriate answers in the white boxes. Each colored box can only be linked to one white box and vice versa. The student receives feedback on their links Before submission. The student has 3 hearts, giving them another chance at missed links during a game round. Questions have text-to-speech in Spanish. Answers have text-to-speech in Spanish. There is no time limit. When the student has linked all the boxes correctly, the game round is completed. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button labeled Cancel - then the correct links are displayed - and try to complete the level again.

2. Match the word (Memory)

MemoryMemory - The level consists of 8 pairs (each consisting of words paired with other words) and all of them are practiced in every game round. The student's task is to find two cards that match. If two matching cards are found, they are removed from the board. The game is finished when all 8 pairs of cards have been found and no cards are left on the board. There is no limit to the number of allowed misses, so the only thing that counts is finding all card pairs. The time limit to complete the game level is 5 minutes (300 seconds). If it is too difficult, the player can click the button labeled Cancel - then it will show which pairs of cards match - and try to complete the level again.

3. Guess the conjugated verb

Guess wordGuess word - The level consists of 8 words, but a maximum of 1 word are practiced per game round. The student has to find the word or sentence by guessing letters from the alphabet. If the suggested letter is in the word, it is filled in at the correct positions in the letter slots. If the letter is not in the word, a balloon pops. If the player can guess the correct letters and find the word before all 5 balloons run out, the round is won. For each word there is a clue to help the player guess the word. There is no time limit. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button labeled Cancel - then the correct word will be displayed - and try to complete the level again.

Calculation of knowledge points and medals

Each completed game level in Preterite tense in Spanish gives 1 knowledge points. You can collect a maximum of 3 knowledge points by completing all 3 levels.
In the game Preterite tense in Spanish, you can earn a total of 9 medals. Medals are awarded based on how many times you have completed a level:
  • Bronze medal: after completing 2 rounds.
  • Silver medal: after completing 5 rounds.
  • Gold medal: after completing 10 rounds.
